Network and cooperation partners
In the Network of University Medicine (NUM), all 36 German academic medical centres are cooperating for the first time in an overarching structure covering all medical disciplines. Activities are focussed on clinical research. In its projects, the network works closely with other relevant stakeholders, expert networks, specialist groups and initiatives. The NUM was created as a platform to coordinate COVID-19 research and to support the acute pandemic response. However, the network is currently in the process of expanding its activities to include clinical research in other disease areas. In doing so, the NUM will coordinate closely with established players in the field of clinical research and involve stakeholders from medical science, healthcare and society.
