Pulmonary artery embolism (LAE) is the third most common cause of cardiovascular deaths. In order to identify patients who benefit from intensive medical monitoring and intensified therapy in addition to anticoagulation, risk assessment is important in this context. CORE-PE aims to develop a comprehensive analysis process of image data to enable better predictions in acute LAE. The established RACOON infrastructure will be used to build a large, multi-centre database of Computer tomography (CT) examinations in acute pulmonary embolism and to perform standardised image annotation and image segmentation to extract imaging biomarkers from this data set.
