Brief portrait
As a specialist in physical and rehabilitative medicine, I enjoy working on an interdisciplinary and interprofessional basis every day and have also felt this in the NUM community over the last two years. There are many highly motivated researchers here who want to get things done. My speciality from a cross-sectional area has helped me to understand the needs of the other specialities and to speak on behalf of all clinical disciplines. Even if things didn't always run smoothly, I am certain that we can only change the research landscape in Germany if we work together in the NUM. In addition to cooperative collaboration, this requires a further focussing of the NUM based on the needs of researchers with a high level of transparency in decision-making. With the experience I have gained so far, I would like to continue to work on behalf of the NUM community so that the vision of the NUM is 100% fulfilled:"The NUM represents an outstanding national research infrastructure with needs-oriented solutions for practice-changing health research. This Reseach Infrastructure creates optimal conditions for researchers, strengthens responsiveness and enables coordinated action." The NUM offers a great opportunity that we should seize! I would like to support this for another two years as spokesperson for the advisory board.
