Local Coordination Units (LCUs)
Local Coordination Units (LCUs)
A LCU has been set up at each of the 36 academic medical centres participating in the NUM. They report directly to their respective executive board and act as a central point of contact for the coordination office for all matters relating to the respective location.
As decentralised hubs, the LCUs perform important administrative, coordinating and communicative tasks. In doing so, they liaise closely with the coordination office. They coordinate and administer key NUM processes for their location, both internally and in cooperation with the coordination office and with LCUs at other locations. In this way, they support joint work in complex, cross-location NUM projects and infrastructures. They are the central point of contact for the NUM stakeholders at their respective location.
